History behind the Carl E Weinbrunn Award Given for the first time in 1966, this award honors one of the Caravan's greatest boosters. Probably no one individual so completely embodies the spirit of co-operative community participation as Carl Weinbrunn who named the Holiday Caravan and drew its now well-known "Scrambled Block Signature" and for many years single handedly lettered the hundreds of signs seen in the procession. The Award will be given annually to the Entry which in the opinion of the Holiday Caravan Judges is considered the finest overall --the one entry standing out above all others.
